Fishing is very good out deep for walleye right now. If you can handle a little ride you can find some big fish to tangle with!
Went out Thursday am with some campground buddies. We got into fish right off the bat, with 6 fish in about 20 mins! Problem was the waves were rough and once we got out of the fish you could not turn around to go back. Ended w 10 by 930… But because of direction of wind and waves had a 2 hr boat ride to get back!!
Took Margaret out Friday with Brent and Dave. Lots of boats pushed us off our area to fish but we picked a few early. Decided to look around but that was wrong call. Should have stayed and picked. Went wayyyy deep to almost Canadian line and only got a steelie and one small eye. We ended with 10 nice eyes and two steelhead.
Weighted reef runners w 5 oz weights caught em. Fishing should remain good for a few more weeks so get out there! Big big fish await!
