There were lots of steelies out deep and staging in the trenches this late summer indicating a good year coming! Last few seasons have been okay but key factor is weather. Consistent rain is needed to keep water levels up.
Right now there is little to NO water so be patient, it’s not time… Yet! if you have access to a boat try trolling the stream mouths or casting spoons for some morning and evening action while the fish explore the mouths awaiting a run.
