Erie Steelhead Report 11/25/15

Streams are very low and clear. Fish are spread out around the creeks but  they are very nervous. They can see you as good as you can see them. IMG_0475
Lower & Middle Elk didn’t have to many fish. Upper Elk is getting high pressure.

Walnut was busy in the morning from the Wall to the falls. Lots of sore mouths in the hole and meat coming from it.
Fishing pressure is heavy despite the sub par conditions. Hold off if you are thinking about heading up for steelhead till we get a good rain and temperatures drop.  If you are a serious Erie angler you might be frustrated with the crowds.
Lower temps will ease the fishing pressure if we have water. Later next week should fish better. A good rain cell is coming in this Friday through the weekend. Fishing should be improved later next week with cooler temperatures.
