Well it wasn’t a Friday, but was even better! Last Saturday was the second annual Lake Erie walleye and perch fish fry held at the Castle!
Approximately 75 lbs of fish was cooked in 4 hours, with a breading and a beer batter option. About 20 lbs of Fresh cut French fries joined, and onion rings.
Fish was cut small since some monster walleye were caught! Not as much perch this year since fishing didn’t get good till later, and walleye fishing was just too good.
About 75 people stuffed their faces, and all left happy! Thanks to everyone who brought side dishes and awesome deserts! Extra special thanks to Scott, jimmy, and Shawn for cooking all night!
A big hit was three smoked steelhead a buddy smoked for me. I’m not a big fan of steel, but even I had a few pickings!
Best part is I still have fish left frozen!
Time to start filling the freezer for next years party!
