Hit Shenango River Friday afternoon from noon till about 4:30pm. The day was successful again, that is a great fishery because you never know what you are going to catch and for the most part the water levels are unaffected by rains. If we are in a rain shortage then the river feels the pinch because they limit water pressure coming out of the dam. Yesterday it looked like one gate was open I think but I may be wrong but I did notice water levels were a bit up.
Started at my favortie spot that I fished with Doug the previouus weekend with minnow. 3 drift FISH ON… Walleye seen above in the picture. From their on it was consistent all day with Smallmouth, Crappie and catfish. None of the smallmouth were real big that was worth getting my camera out. Awesome afternoon of fishing, it was supposed to rain by 3pm so I planned a short trip but I never came. I left by 4:30pm……
Fish on!
