OBX 3.0 Day 2 & Day 3

Fish On

I say that with ease and care but we did get into some fish. Not like I wanted or hoped but we found some bite. Flounder, Skates and Gar fish were on the end of the lines one point Monday morning. Trent in the pic above fought that sting ray for close to 30mins switching the rod between anglers to rest. Trent finally hossed it up the beach and was happy to land his first ray.

I got was working the breakers pretty hard with shrimp and catching flounder but only one was a keeper. I can’t seem to grip where the fish area this year or atleast yet. Seems like there is no bait or much action near the coast.

Boat Action

or should we day reaction… Tried fishing the sound out of Orgeon Inlet a few times in the boat. Today we piggy backed some charter boats and fished some ledges in the sound but no luck to brag home about. We caught a few Goby’s, Whities & Crockers.  Despite the 25-30 MPH wind gusts, it was nice to get out and explore more. We’ll find the fish evenutally or mother nature will bring in some bait to activate the bite. May it will be tomrrow from the beach?
